1965 Chevrolet Impala
In 1965, the world has again witnessed another new looking Impala featuring the “X” frame body having a full-width perimeter frame. It had a totally different body with curves, frameless side glass, new full-coil suspension, windshield with sharper angle, and reshaped windows. These features were responsible for yet another successful model that took the sales at its peak.
The 1965 Chevrolet Impala almost took over the whole car industry by setting an annual sales record of selling over a million units in United States alone, which up to now, has never been broken. The design might be the first factor for manufacturing such a successful car, but back in those days, people were eager to see something new, something out of the ordinary and Chevrolet took a bet on it that they could come up with something that could create more than just hype but nearly even a car craze. It was particularly the model that took away the limelight from its predecessors and its competitors.
As evidence of its popularity, car collectors think of this model as something worth a fortune. It is not every day that we see something extraordinary and it could even take years or decades before we get that same awe for a particular car. The 1965 Chevrolet Impala really made an unforgettable history in the car industry.
