I have a rare car for sale. This is a 1981 Pontiac Transam Daytona Pace Car – WS6 package with the Recardo Interior only 2000 ever made. This is a five owner car, I was told from the second owner from Dearborn, MI this was the original Car that was in the Daytona race in 1981 as a festival car (he had a plaque with it) but during the transfer of ownership that lost it’s way with the car.

Mechanically, the engine was changed to a 455 (which was from a 71 GTO), however we do have a turbo unit that goes along with the car. It has an Edelbrock Performer Series intake and a 750 Edelbrock Carb, Accel supercoil, HEI Ignition and a 400 Turbo Transmission. The car runs great and is fast – it also has a real good sound too, new exhaust system with high-flow CATS and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. There are nearly new BF Goodrich T/A tires all around 215/70/15 on the front and 275/60/15 on the back. WS6 Package, four wheel disc brakes all around. The car has installed a JVC CD Player with remote and Infinity 200-watt AMP/SUB woofer combo unit.

Cosmetically: The car looks great! Nice looking RECARO interior. I also have a white shaker hood and hood scoop (still crated) that goes with the car. There is some minor paint blistering behind the driver and passenger door. I will be happy to take more photos and e-mail them to you – just provide me your e-mail address.

When we take this car out it is a real head turner. We actually would get people to flag us down as we are leaving eatery and gas stations so they can get a better look and take photos with the camera phones.

It is a bargin for the price and because trans am were and still are “the muscle car” in the late 70′s early 80′s they will in a few years sky rocket like the current late 60′s and early 70′s chevelle and camaros. We would love to hang on to it as long as we can but we recently had our first baby and therefore need to sell it. We need the money with only one working, the garage space and not to mention we do not have the time to enjoy it anymore. We are asking $12,500 OBO and must sell it. It was sold on ebay within the second day for $10,000 but the person did not come through the rest of the money.
